After Diagnosis - What's next?
Diagnosis expedites the path to treatment, symptom management and stopping future disease progression.
Closing the diagnositic gap
The Endometriosis diagnosis dilemma
Endometriosis is an estrogen-dependent, frequently chronic inflammatory disease associated with pelvic and abdominal pain, bloating, painful irregular bowel or urinary symptoms, and/or infertility.
Symptomatic endometriosis has an estimated population prevalence of at least 10% globally, with most experiencing significant diagnostic delays of 3 to 11 years from onset of symptoms.3 Data of at-risk populations shows that 45% of adolescents and 55% of early adults have underlying endometriosis as the cause for regular dysmenorrhea.
Until now, TIER-1 rapid diagnostic testing that supported timely diagnosis and treatment was unavailable.
Diagnostic delays
Limitations in current diagnostic tests to detect early stage disease created the need for laparoscopy, the current gold standard for diagnosis, contributing to a 5-10+ year diagnostic delay between onset of symptoms and diagnosis of endometriosis.
It was never in your head. It was in your gut.
With symptoms overlapping with other conditions, pain viewed as normal by the patient &/or their treating clinician, and a lack of Tier-1 testing, patients suffered for years without answers.
Now we can test for it.
ENDOSURE detects endometriosis presence with 99% accuracy. Tier-1 ENDOSURE test provides clinicians with decision support so they can rapidly confirm endometriosis as the cause of menstrual pain, abdominal pain and infertility. This helps women receive care much earlier and may be the best hour they’ve ever invested in their health.
